In order to enrich our summer holiday and help us gain more social experience, our faculty will offer us an internship in the local government of some remote counties or villages. There is no doubt that we can learn a lot from such practice. However, I’ve missed it twice because I always prefer a longer holiday. Now, I’ve already finished my junior study in university, which means that this is my last chance to train and improve myself by taking the inernship in the local goverment Therefore, I decide to seize the opportunity and become a member of Xiniu Team.
Xiniu is a village of Yingde County in Qingyuan Province. It is also the “ Hometown of Bamboo Shoot” for its abundant Bamboo Shoot resource. On our way to Xiniu, we have seen a larger amount of area covered by bamboos, swaying slightly in the wind like saying hello to us.
Apart from its bamboos and natural scenery, it was the great hospitality of the local government that impressed me the most.When we arrived, the local cadres welcome us in person, showing us around the village, arranging our board and lodging, ect. In the afternoon, we had a conference with the local cadres. They introduced the general situation about Xiniu, and arranged us to different departments for our internship. We also raised some questions concerning our following research and they offer us some vital advice. The confernce finished in a vigor and homonious atmosphere.
Finally, I’d like to end my diary by saying: I’m full of confidence in facing the following challenge and getting myself well improved. Hello, Xiniu! I’m here and I’m ready!
